Namaste, everyone!

As we know, regular stretching and the use of breathing techniques are an integral part of Yoga, and have recognized health benefits. Yoga is growing strongly in the world, and many studies confirm its benefits for various pathologies, such as arthritis, or symptoms of depression in women.

In this article, we tell you about other little-known effects of yoga on health.

1)Yoga helps in healthy pregnancy.

Calm, relaxation, zen, it also works on babies, and even during pregnancy! A study from the Journal of Alternative & Complementary Medicine has proven that women who add a yoga routine during the second trimester of their pregnancy are less prone to pregnancy-related hypertension, and that their babies are born with a higher weight.

2) Yoga helps cancer patients sleep better

Cancer is a real pain, and all means are good to soften this ordeal. It is with this idea in mind that patients with lymphoma tested, as part of a study at the Texas Cancer Center, the practice of Tibetan Yoga. After a 20-minute session, once a week for 7 weeks, they were able to fall asleep faster, sleep longer, and reduce their consumption of sleeping pills! Which just goes to show that meditation has its good points.

3) Yoga reduces the chances of cardiovascular accidents

Another study has shown that yoga can modulate blood sugar and cholesterol levels in patients with diabetes and cardiovascular disease. This doesn't mean you should continue eating bread with your pasta, gentlemen, but maybe getting on a yoga mat will help you stop your diet faster!

4) Yoga helps you fight against big food cravings

Watching your weight is good, but when hunger strikes, it's hard to keep your resolutions! Well, if you did Yoga, it would be easier. The stronger relationship that Yoga creates between the mind and body would be at the origin of this phenomenon... It seems that cravings generally occur when our body is tense, and the flexibility practiced during a Yoga session allows you to more easily say no to that chocolate bar that is reaching out to you...

5) Yoga boosts your performance in bed

Yep. It's good for sex too. Many "asanas" (yoga poses) send blood flow directly to the pelvic area, increasing desire and sensitivity. Poses that focus on balance and abdominal contraction will also strengthen certain muscles that promote a more intense orgasm. Hoax, you say? Talk to experienced Yogis, and you'll see!

So, has this made you want to give it a try? Come on, admit it...
