It was only natural that I asked him a few personal questions about his yoga practice. that I share with you today .
How did you get to take care of yourself?
When I was little, thanks to my mother, I discovered yoga and meditation and I have always been attracted to the world of well-being.
On the other hand, my real awareness came a few years ago, following fertility problems. A period that was complicated, but which allowed me to change my diet, review my priorities, deepen my yoga and meditation practice, find my life mission and above all reconnect with myself.
What practice for your well-being?
Currently, I am following a Vinyasa Yoga training so I mainly practice this type of Yoga.
I have a preference for the fluid and gentle practice of yoga, in which we can work the muscles in depth but above all we have the opportunity to find the connection with our breathing and with the sensations of our body.
What is the ritual of your practice?
Every morning of the week, I start the day with one or two yoga sequences set to good music. Then I move on to my meditation practice and finish my ritual with a good smoothie that serves as a healthy and complete breakfast.
What do you get out of it?
Yoga, meditation, and nutrition are tools that allow me to focus my attention on the present moment and also to stay in tune with my body and mind on a daily basis.
What do you carry in your yoga bag?
My mat, a bottle with water or herbal tea to stay hydrated, a hair elastic, a small towel and sometimes a small mixture of essential oils.
What is your favorite object/accessory?
I always carry a “mala” bracelet with me which allows me, at any time of the day, to refocus my energy and find serenity by repeating a few mantras.
What would be your advice for Tayrona Yoginis?
On the mat, it is very important to stop forcing and to listen more to the body by using more supports such as bricks or straps, because in reality the goal of yoga is the discovery and connection with oneself and not the realization of pretty postures.
And off the mat, I recommend raising your awareness about the way you nourish your body, to connect more with your breathing and with the present moment through meditation.
If you want to start practicing mindfulness meditation, I share with you the link to access my guided meditations for free (in French and Spanish: http://insig.ht/couleurbe ).
Where/how do you practice?
On a daily basis, I have an individual Yoga practice at home but for me, it is also important to practice in a group, because the collective energy is very nourishing and the different exchanges and types of yoga also allow us to evolve.
What is your mantra/favourite phrase?
